Night

Night by Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel has 110 pages. 15 year old Elie is forced from his home into a crowded getto. He is later deported to a concentration camp. Elie is at war with himself in his head. This becomes the main conflict, character vs self.

The main conflict in this book is character vs self. Elie is at war with himself. First, his belief in God is shattered, but part of him wants to believe. Then when his father died he felt relief, then only guilt. Lastly, he had surgery on his foot but wanted to leave the camp so he wouldn't be killed in the hospital. Thats why the main conflict is character vs self.
